Kanthal GmbH has once again received an award for its sustainable human resources policy in the audit berufundfamilie. The aim of the audit is to consciously shape working life in companies with a focus on the needs of families and the life phases of employees.

"A modern personnel policy creates a culture of togetherness, high level of collegiality and mutual respect. At Kanthal, the concept of family is very broad. We want to make it possible for our employees to balance their professional and private lives, and in doing so we rely on a give-and-take approach based on partnership," says Dirk-Lars Gerlach, PU Manager, and Sabine Schreiber, Head of HR at Kanthal GmbH, adding: "For Kanthal, the successful audit is both recognition and an incentive to continue on this successful path."

Kanthal GmbH offers its employees flexible working hours, part-time models, sabbaticals, social compensation elements, newborn packages, and support in bridging childcare bottlenecks. In addition, the expansion of occupational health management will be further promoted. Furthermore, the re-audit includes the strengthening and optimization of existing measures as important goals.

An openly lived culture of trust is fundamental for Kanthal. Kanthal also shows great trust in the work of its employees by introducing mobile working. This offer of work organisation is a real added value not only for employees with family responsibilities.

Kanthal GmbH had been audited for the first time in 2019.
